Funding Options for Therapy

Getting support for your child’s development shouldn’t feel out of reach, but we know the cost of therapy can be a big consideration for families. At Chatterbox, we want to help you understand what options are available so you can access the support your child needs, when they need it.

The good news? There are a number of funding options that may help towards the cost of Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy, depending on your child’s needs and circumstances.

Whether it’s through Medicare, private health insurance, or government initiatives like the NDIS, we’re here to help guide you through what’s available, and how to get started.

What Are the Main Types of Funding?

Here are the most common funding options that may apply to your family:

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Support for children with speech delays and communication disorders in Sydney. Expert speech therapy services for kids at Chatterbox Speech. Improve speech skills today.

Support for children with disability or developmental delay.

GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP)

Medicare rebates for children with ongoing medical or developmental needs.

Helping Children with Autism (HCWA)

A Medicare initiative to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or PDD.

Private Health Insurance

Many funds offer rebates for therapy, we can even process claims on the spot.

Not Sure What Applies?

Every family’s situation is different, and it’s not always easy to know where to start. If you’re unsure which funding options your child might be eligible for, we recommend speaking with your GP, paediatrician, or a member of our team. We’re always happy to help point you in the right direction.
